The Bogo resource represents a high quality Ryholite deposit from which high-grade aggregates and road foundation materials are produced.
Bogo Quarry produces a full range of heavy construction materials ranging from concrete and asphalt aggregates to heavy duty road bases and rail line ballast. In addition, an array of large fraction hard rock products such as gabion, rip rap and scour protection is also available.
The quarry has a long history of supplying specified materials to major construction and road building projects. Aggregates and road foundation materials are of the highest quality and comply with all relevant Australian Standards and Roads and Maritime Services specifications.
Aggregates:
Concrete
Specific fractions or 20/14mm & 10/7mm blends are on offer for the full range of ready mix concrete production.
For those in the know:
Bogo concrete aggregates are of the highest standard and meet B80 specification and are suitable for low shrinkage concrete applications.
Asphalt & Spray Seal
5mm, 7mm, 10mm, 14mm & 20mm specific aggregate fractions are produced for predominately for asphalt and rural road bituminous sealing programs.
For those in the know:
Bogo aggregates comply with RMS 3151/3152 and provide excellent strength and high polishing values.
Other
Concrete Mix – aggregates and crusher dust blended together for ease of use in any DIY concrete application. Just add water and you are well on your way to completing your project.
Roadbases:
A full range of quality road base and foundations materials are produced at the quarry. From non-specified road base to DGS20 & DGB20HD, farm access roads to major highway projects can be satisfied to the highest degree with our road formation materials.
Different gradings of roadbase are used for forming and repairing roads up to and including RTA standards. Included in this product range are DGS 20, DGS 40 and DGB 20 gradings.
For those in the know:
Bogo road base and select materials comply with RMS 3051& 3071, we are an active producer of DGB20 Heavy Duty (DGB20HD).
Rail Ballast:
Rail ballast and capping materials are produced at the quarry with all materials meeting relevant Australian Standards ARTC and John Holland ballast specifications.
Large Rock Fractions:
If it is large rock you want, we have it. From large boulders for feature rock applications to rip rap, scour protection and gabion basket material for the range of erosion control applications.
